Making "innovation" a core value is something I would hesitate to do because it places too much emphasis on that in itself. I'd rather see innovation as secondary—and then where a new approach is the best way to reach a primary goal, for it to follow naturally rather than being resisted. I suppose this translates better into "agility" and "openness" than into "innovation"...
(And we do need to be more open to taking the risks that do further our goals!)
